Biography

Mezzo-soprano Floriane Hasler has been nominated in the “Vocal Discovery of the Year” category at the Victoires de la Musique Classique. A prizewinner at the 2023 Queen Elisabeth Competition (4th Prize) and at the Froville (Baroque) and Canari (Opera) competitions (1st Prizes), she was also named an Adami Talent 2022 and is part of the 2023/24 artists of Génération Opéra. She graduated from the CNSMD de Paris with a Master’s degree, awarded with highest honours by a unanimous jury.

She made her debut in the roles of Orlofsky (Die Fledermaus) at the Philharmonie de Paris and Orphée (Orphée et Eurydice) at the Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing. She sang Mercedes (Carmen) at the Teatro di San Carlo in Naples, at the Opéra de Rouen and at the Théâtre des Champs-Élysées, followed by the title role of La Cenerentola at the Opéra du Capitole de Toulouse. At the Opéra de Monte-Carlo, she performed La Tasse chinoise, Le Pâtre and La Libellule (L’Enfant et les sortilèges), and made a notable debut at the Opéra national du Rhin as Nicklausse (Les Contes d’Hoffmann). She has also performed at the Theater an der Wien and the Wiener Konzerthaus, and with the Orchestre Philharmonique de Monte-Carlo and the Orchestre philharmonique de Strasbourg, among others.

She explores the oratorio repertoire, with a particular affinity for Baroque music, such as Bach’s Passions and cantatas or Vivaldi’s Nisi Dominus and Stabat Mater.

With Vincent Dumestre, she recorded the roles of Didone and Volupia (Cavalli’s L’Egisto) for the Château de Versailles Spectacles label, followed by Bellone (M.-A. Charpentier’s Médée) and Diane (Desmarest and Campra’s Iphigénie en Tauride) under the direction of Hervé Niquet for Alpha Classics.

She recorded Ferrandini’s Il Pianto di Maria with Il Caravaggio (Camille Delaforge), released on Alpha Classics on 11 September 2026.

Among her projects this season are Zerlina (Don Giovanni) in Marseille, Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) in Versailles, Rosina (Il Barbiere di Siviglia) at the Opéra du Capitole de Toulouse, and Verdi’s Requiem with the Orquesta RTVE.

Camille Delaforge and her ensemble Il Caravaggio bring together three sacred works of “one and the same inner journey”, that of a person facing abandonment. In Il Pianto di Maria, Ferrandini’s lamentation, Floriane Hasler embodies the Virgin Mary, who speaks in the first person, moves through grief and asks questions. The programme continues with Purcell’s Saul and the Witch of Endor and Charpentier’s Le Reniement de saint Pierre.

Discography

“The Muse is a protagonist, and just as much thanks to the sensational performance of the triumphant Floriane Hasler, who becomes the leading role through her insolent voice and natural presence.”
